Meet the Spartan

Live Free or Die Hard (released as Die Hard 4.0 or Die Hard 4 outside North America and also known as Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard) is a 2007 action film, and the fourth installment in the Die Hard series. The film was directed by Len Wiseman and stars Bruce Willis as John McClane, the protagonist of the first three films. Other cast members included Justin Long, Timothy Olyphant, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Maggie Q. The storyline takes place 19 years after the first film, and sees McClane face a gang of cyber terrorists. The film was based on the 1997 article "A Farewell to Arms" written for Wired magazine by John Carlin.[2] The film's North American release date was June 27, 2007.[3]

After the project was initially stalled due to the September 11, 2001 attacks, production eventually began, and the film's title was switched several times. A variety of visual effects were used for action sequences, even though Wiseman and Willis stated that they wanted to limit the amount of CGI in the film. In separate incidents during filming, both Willis and his stunt double were injured. Unlike the prior three films in the series, the North American rating was PG-13 rather than R.

Live Free or Die Hard received generally positive reviews, earning a 80% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 69/100 from Metacritic and had total international box office gross receipts of $382.1 million. For the DVD release, 20th Century Fox pioneered a new kind of DRM that tries to weaken the incentives for consumers to learn how to rip discs by offering them a downloadable version with studio-imposed restrictions. The score for the film was released on July 2, 2007 and a video game has been proposed for the Xbox 360.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is a 2007 fantasy film directed by Jay Russell. The screenplay, written by screenwriter Robert Nelson Jacobs, is an adaption of Dick King-Smith's children's novel The Water Horse. It stars Alex Etel as a young boy who discovers a mysterious egg and cares for what hatches of it: a 'water horse' (losely based on the Celtic water horse) which later becomes the fabled Loch Ness Monster. Emily Watson, Ben Chaplin and David Morrissey also star.

Walden Media, in collaboration with Beacon Pictures and Revolution Studios produced the film. Visual effects, which included the computer-generated imagery of the monster (named "Crusoe" by Etel's character) were completed by the New Zealand-based companies Weta Digital and Weta Workshop — visual effects companies who worked with Walden Media before on the productions of The Chronicles of Narnia films.[1][2] The Water Horse was released in the United States on December 25, 2007 and in the United Kingdom on February 8, 2008

Taxi To The Dark Side 2007

Taxi to the Dark Side is an Academy Award winning 2007 documentary film directed by American filmmaker Alex Gibney, and produced by Eva Orner and Susannah Shipman.[1]

The film focuses around the controversial death in custody of an Afghan taxi driver named Dilawar.[2] Dilawar was beaten to death by American soldiers while being held in extrajudicial detention at the Bagram Air Base.

Taxi to the Dark Side also goes on to examine America's policy on torture and interrogation in general, specifically the CIA's use of torture and their research into sensory deprivation. There is description of the opposition to the use of torture from its political and military opponents, as well as the defence of such methods; the attempts by Congress to uphold the standards of the Geneva Convention forbidding torture; and the popularisation of the use of torture techniques in shows such as 24.

The Forever Dead Download

A rabbit escapes from a shady university lab along with Jeffrey Lupus, an eccentric research scientist. Lupus partner Adam released the rabbit to ruin Lupus research and discredit him because Jeff had an affair with his wife Emma. What he doesnt realize is just how contagious the rabbit is and how long reaching the effects are when it comes in contact with humans. It doesnt take long before the rabbit has infected an entire rural community, turning its victims into mindless flesh eating monsters.

One by one people affected by the outbreak find their lives hopelessly intertwined when they end up at a creepy old house trying to escape the creatures. Lupus is pursued by his lab assistant Alice who finds herself pursued by two crazed rednecks. Lupus, thanks to Adam, is slowly losing his mind and sees visions of rabbits everywhere. Adam becomes trapped in his own misdeeds when he kills his wife and she turns into one of the creatures. He finds himself using her as a guinea pig to see just what will kill them. Lupus rebellious daughter Mary is so traumatized by the fact that her own mother just tried to eat her, that she is unable to speak. She can only glare at her father who is so far gone he doesnt even recognize her. Tracy was the detective who got the goods on Adams wife and Lupus. She just shot her boyfriend in the head when the infected rabbit turned him into a mindless slobbering fool. He didnt die either and roams outside with the others, trying to find a way in. Teddy and Todd, are thieves on the run. Todd robbed Adams house a few weeks back and knows all his dirty little secrets.

Aliens vs Predator 2

Aliens versus Predator 2 is a video game developed by Monolith Productions and published by Sierra Entertainment, which was released through Fox Interactive in 2001. The game is a sequel to Aliens versus Predator, which is based loosely on the movies of the Alien and Predator series.

Similarly to the previous game, it is a first person shooter (FPS) that uniquely gives the player a choice of three characters/species, each with their own distinct set of weapons and abilities. These factions include the The Alien, The Predator, or Colonial Marines. The storyline features a fourth non-playable side called the Iron Bears or "Corporates", human mercenaries with Marine weaponry who provide security for the Weyland Yutani Corporation; the Corporates are the playable fourth choice in multiplayer.

Sierra released an expansion to the game titled Aliens versus Predator 2: Primal Hunt in 2002.

MacPlay ported Alien versus Predator 2 to Mac OS X on June 30, 2003. Initially it did not support online multiplayer for Macs running Mac OS 10.3 or newer, however an unofficial patch was released which fixes the problem.[1] Since the release of Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard "Alien versus Predator 2" no longer functions with the operating system. There is no fix at present.

Horton Hears a Who

Horton Hears a Who! (also known as Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!) is a 2008 American computer-generated imagery (CGI) film, based on the Dr. Seuss book of the same name and the fourth feature film from Blue Sky Studios. It is the first Dr. Seuss adaptation fully animated using CGI technology. The film is rated "G" by the Motion Picture Association of America.

The film was directed by Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino, based on a screenplay written by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul. The film was produced by Bob Gordon, Audrey Geisel, Christopher Meledandri and Chris Wedge. Christian Kaplan was the casting director and music was provided by John Powell. This is the second film to feature both Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, who provide the voices of Horton and the Mayor of Whoville, respectively. This also marks the second Dr. Seuss adaptation to feature Jim Carrey, the first being The Grinch.

28 Weeks Later 2007

28 Weeks Later is a 2007 British post-apocalyptic horror film, and sequel to the 2002 film 28 Days Later. The film was directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and was released in the United Kingdom and in the United States on May 11, 2007.

Don (Robert Carlyle) and his wife Alice (Catherine McCormack) prepare dinner for their group of survivors in a heavily reinforced cottage somewhere in rural, Rage-infected-Britain. As they eat their meal, they suddenly hear a young boy banging on the door begging to be let in. Alice opens the door to let the child inside, who says he is from Sandford and has been fleeing his parents who are the "Infected". Moments later, a pack of the Infected discover the hideout and break in, quickly overwhelming the group. Alice refuses to leave without the boy; a panicked Don abandons Alice and escapes in a boat, emerging as the sole survivor.

Over the course of 28 weeks, Britain is declared relatively safe again and an American-led NATO force, (primarily consisting of Rangers and 82nd Airborne) begins repopulating the country. Chief medical officer Major Scarlet Ross (Rose Byrne) is startled by the sudden arrival of children. Among the children are Tammy (Imogen Poots) and Andy (Mackintosh Muggleton), Don and Alice's children who were in Spain during the initial outbreak. At only 12 years old, Andy is the youngest person in Britain. During their subsequent medical inspection, Scarlet notes Andy's heterochromia, a trait he inherited from his mother. Andy and Tammy are subsequently admitted to District 1, a heavily-reinforced, fully functional section of London in the Docklands guarded by the United States Army, including Sergeant Doyle (Jeremy Renner) and helicopter pilot Flynn (Harold Perrineau). They are reunited with their father Don, who is now head caretaker of the district. Inside their new penthouse, Don tearfully recounts his escape, revealing that Alice was killed by the Infected. The next day, the two children slip out of the safe zone to return to their old home, where Andy discovers Alice, disheveled but alive. Andy and Tammy are recaptured by the US Army while Alice is decontaminated. A blood test reveals that she is infected with the Rage virus, but not displaying any symptoms, labeling her a carrier, as evidenced by her bloodshot eye. Though Scarlet wants to keep Alice alive to seek a cure, she is overruled by her superior.

Don visits his children in a holding room, where they question him about Alice being alive. He then visits Alice in her isolation cell, and asks for forgiveness. After they kiss without thinking, the Rage virus in her saliva immediately infects Don. Now an Infected, he brutally kills her and goes on the prowl in District 1, attacking and infecting soldiers. The outbreak forces the area into lockdown, but not in time to prevent Don from forcing his way into the safe room, where he begins to kill and infect the confined civilians. Scarlet rescues Tammy and Andy from containment, fleeing together as chaos spreads to the streets. Doyle and the soldiers are ordered to shoot the Infected, but the chaos escalates into an extermination of the populace. He abandons his post and escapes with Scarlet and the children as District 1 is incinerated by napalm. Meanwhile, large numbers of the Infected escape the bombardment, occupying the city.

Stopping at the derelict remains of Regent's Park, Scarlet informs Doyle that the key to curing infection is in the children, who may have the same immune system as their mother. Flynn arrives by helicopter to pick up Doyle, but refuses to take anyone else. The infected appear and pursue the group, forcing them to flee. To aid their escape, Flynn uses his helicopter rotor blades to kill dozens of Infected before leaving, designating Wembley Stadium as the new rendezvous point. The group breaks into an abandoned car to escape the infected and the clouds of poisonous gas being vented into the city. In the process of starting the car, Doyle is killed by soldiers with NBC suits and flamethrowers. Scarlet drives into the London Underground to evade a pursuing AH-64 Apache, where she and the children continue on foot, guiding their way with the night-vision scope on Doyle's rifle. When they are separated, Scarlet is ambushed and killed by Don, who attacks Andy and bites him. Tammy shoots Don and saves Andy, who remains symptom-free like his mother. The children continue to Wembley Stadium and are picked up by a reluctant Flynn (expecting both Doyle and Scarlet to be accompanying them), who flies them across the English Channel and out of Britain, to France.
